Beans from Limnos 500gr

This is a special variety of bean found only on our island, with the scientific name Vigna Unguiculata . It looks like the well-known black-eyed, but it is dry-thermal, it has a smaller size and white color on its nose and in the past large quantities were exported from Lemnos to the Aegean and Northern Greece.

Its production presents several difficulties, especially in the stage of purification and separation from foreign substances.

Its cultivation, apart from the initial stage of sowing, is manual and is revived in the last decade in central and eastern Lemnos, with the areas of Atsiki & Varos being famous for their quality in this species.

It is ideal for summer, cool salads while it is also cooked classically like red soup!

In 2018 it was awarded a silver medal in the Olymp Awards taste and quality competition.
